Continuing the series of projects with ESEC’s strategic customer – Hoa Phat Group, at the end of 2022, we completed the power system project for Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company.
Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company was established in August 2007 as the investor of Hoa Phat Steel Complex (KLH) project ( Kinh Mon – Hai Duong). This is the first key project of Hoa Phat Group in the roadmap to become the leading steel producer in Vietnam.
KLH uses modern, closed blast furnace technology from iron ore to finished steel of all kinds with an output of 2.5 million tons/year. All 3 investment phases of KLH have been put into operation synchronously since the first quarter of 2016. This is considered one of the three largest, most modern and synchronous steel production complexes in Vietnam today.
ESEC has implemented a training project to use ETAP software to design, analyze and operate the power system, model the power system of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Complex on ETAP software and perform calculations coordinate relay protection for customers.
With a team of engineers with experience in electrical systems and certified by ETAP Headquarters, ESEC engineers have successfully implemented projects for customers and met the requirements of the factory. Besides, the project also brought positive effects to Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel, helping customers to solve difficult problems in calculating and coordinating relay protection; improve the operational efficiency and reliability of the power system for customers; as well as providing suitable relay protection parameters for fast, selective cutting for factories in the 110kV Complex & Substation of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel.
