In the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Centers are no longer merely technical infrastructure but have become the strategic “heart” of the digital economy. However, the pressure of energy consumption and sustainable operations is creating unprecedented challenges for Vietnamese enterprises.
On May 12, 2026, Eastern Sea Environmental Energy Co., Ltd. (ESEC), in collaboration with Schneider Electric Vietnam, successfully organized an in-depth workshop titled: “Powering the Green – Digital Data Center with Advanced Software Platforms” in Hanoi. The event attracted significant attention from operation experts, design consulting firms, and leading Data Center investors across Vietnam.
AI Does Not “Live in the Cloud” — AI Lives in Data Centers
Although AI is often described as invisible solutions operating “in the cloud,” in reality, it is powered by server systems consuming enormous amounts of energy.
Ms. Le Thu Hang – Business Development & Government Relations Director of Schneider Electric Vietnam shared: “Every AI-generated answer, every image created, and every forecast we receive is powered by Data Centers consuming substantial amounts of electricity 24/7. AI lives in Data Centers — and Data Centers rely on energy and data. Sustainable development is only possible if we solve the challenges of energy efficiency and operational performance.”

A New Approach to Solving the “Dual Pressure” for Data Centers
The event marked another strategic collaboration milestone between Schneider Electric Vietnam — a global leader in energy management and industrial automation — and ESEC — a pioneering company in power infrastructure, energy management, automation, and digitalization in Vietnam. Together, they introduced enterprises to a new approach for addressing the “dual pressure” faced by modern Data Centers.
The event introduced a differentiated approach through a Unified Digital Platform Ecosystem, enabling data integration, eliminating fragmentation, establishing comprehensive monitoring capabilities, and accelerating the Green & Digital transformation journey for modern Data Centers.

The Unified Digital Platform Ecosystem introduced at the event includes:
- EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert: The first layer in the ecosystem – enabling intelligent collection, monitoring, and analysis of energy data, thereby providing critical input data for higher-level solution layers.
- ETAP Electrical Digital Twin: Builds a digital model of the electrical system, helping enterprises not only monitor operations but also proactively make operational decisions.
- EcoStruxure Building Operation: A building management solution that coordinates cooling systems and optimizes chiller plant operations.
- EcoStruxure IT / DCIM: Optimizes server space, capacity planning, and operational efficiency. This layer consolidates data from multiple sources to create a more comprehensive operational overview.
- AVEVA Unified Operations Center: The centralized platform where all data is integrated, visualized, and managed. It provides managers with a complete end-to-end operational view through a single unified platform.
The implementation of these platforms not only helps enterprises effectively manage ESG indicators but also directly reduces operational expenditure (OPEX) — a critical factor in maintaining competitive advantage for data infrastructure owners.
Dialogue Highlights and Hands-on Experience
A key highlight of the program was the dialogue session featuring leading industry experts. In addition to speakers from ESEC and Schneider Electric, the event was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan – Head of Technical Operations Department at Viettel IDC, and Mr. Vu Yen Thao – Head of Data Center Design Department at First Green Engineering Company. These experts are directly involved in the development of the Data Center ecosystem in Vietnam and across the region. They shared practical experiences and unique challenges facing Vietnamese Data Centers, providing optimized solutions for balancing performance and sustainability.

ESEC – Turning Vision into Practical Value
With its deep understanding of local infrastructure characteristics and comprehensive capabilities in deploying integrated software ecosystems, ESEC confidently affirms its leading position with the ability to deliver end-to-end solutions: from energy management and electrical system simulation to intelligent operations for Data Centers in Vietnam.

Representing ESEC, Mr. Tran Thanh Khang – Chairman of the Members’ Council of ESEC shared: “This is the first time ESEC and Schneider Electric Vietnam have organized an in-depth event dedicated exclusively to Data Centers. Through this event, we aim to accompany enterprises in transforming the Green-Digital Data Center model from a strategic vision into practical and measurable value.”

The event space also featured interactive solution experience zones that attracted significant interest from attendees. The vibrant discussions throughout the program further demonstrated the increasing urgency of green transformation and digitalization in infrastructure development.
This is considered a strong foundation for ESEC and Schneider Electric to continue advancing Green-Digital Data Center models, contributing to the realization of Net Zero goals and accelerating the sustainable development of Vietnam’s digital economy.
